What you need to know

At The Workplace, we understand that it can be hard to find the time to focus on the fundamentals of people management.  Australian employment law is complex and ever-changing and when people are involved no two situations are the same.

We welcome you to join us for a short in-person session focussing on the “what you need to know” when it comes to people and Fair Work Act compliance.  The session will provide an overview and refresher for managers and leaders seeking to upskill in the people space.

In the session, we will cover:

  • An overview of the employment law and industrial relations space, including overlapping considerations under the Fair Work Act, other legislation and modern awards.

  • Fundamentals of compliance and accessorial liability provisions under the Fair Work Act.

  • Key considerations in managing employee grievances and disputes, and when matters should be escalated.
